Floorstylist Jeanet Hönig

After extensive studies and high-profile work in the fields of graphic art, commercial design, furniture and fashion, Jeanet Hönig set out in search of a type of art that would reach and appeal to an expansive public. The highly original result of her search was floor decoration. Floor stylist Jeanet Hönig creates wall-to-wall masterpieces. A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d‘Arts Graphiques et d‘Architecture Intérieure and Ecole Internationale de Mode in Paris, Jeanet gives floors all over the world a unique dimension.

Profile - The Artists Footprint

Prior to working with polyurethane Janet Hönig used various materials to many effects, ranging from sketches for an Audi A3 advertising campaign, through to designs for ceramic cups commissioned by the coffee machine guru, Saeco. The influences of the “Cobra movement” and pop-artist, Andy Warhol, are evident in her work and strong colours with bold lines have become her trademark. She has created her own fashion collection and also made a mark in furniture design. Her discovery of polyurethane was coincidental but instantly played a part in her art with several series of paintings using this medium. The passion spread quickly to furniture and doors, before taking to the floor.
